Introduction to Bower Park from the Head

I passionately believe in achievement for all and am proud that I have a staff who teach with dedication and students who learn with commitment. As Headteacher of a school which is continually developing, I aim to raise attainment for all. At the heart of the school, lies the belief that quality teaching and independent learning are instrumental in moving the school forward. Students are openly proud of what they are achieving and our staff display a passion for their classroom.

The school day begins at 8.30 am and ends at 2.30 pm. Students are then able to pursue their personal interests and further develop their studies after school, through our Personal Learning Programme and Interhouse activities.
A major investment of £1m in a new sports complex provides us with some of the best sports facilities within any Havering school.

THE FUTURE
In the future, Bower Park School plans to specialise in Media Arts/ Geography, with students being literate in terms of the spoken and written word, as well as in terms of the media (radio, television and the press) the environment and art.
The school will be unique in the neighbourhood, with its emphasis on media arts linked with global and environmental issues and we will work with our partners in local schools and the community, to enhance provision and an awareness and understanding of the media and the part that it plays in reporting on our world.
So, our journey continues. As a school, we are very excited about our future.
We are proud of what we have achieved and are working hard to
travel towards our destination........ to become an excellent school.
