Only
the best will do for London’s most prestigious project, One Hyde Park,
that’s why CSB Logistics was chosen to provide essential supply
logistics support for specialist contractors Crown House Technologies
and ThyssenKrupp Elevators.
Supply Logistics support to One Hyde
Park.
CSB’s Construction Logistics Centre was selected by Crown House
Technologies in January 2009 to consolidate mechanical and electrical
(M&E) equipment for Candy & Candy’s prestigious One Hyde Park
project and to provide a variety of logistics support services. Highly
respected throughout M&E, elevation and envelope sectors of
construction, CSB has proved to be the ideal partner.
"CSB is a specialist in construction logistics and we often get
involved with high profile projects such as Heathrow Terminal 5 and the
Olympic Stadium" says Matt Barker, MD of CSB Logistics
“One Hyde Park has been described as the
best project in the world and I’d have to agree. We love being involved
in a project that isn’t prepared to sacrifice quality for price.
When hard earned reputations are on the line it’s great to think that
these industry leaders trust us to provide the support services they
need to deliver such prestigious projects.”

CSB Logistics: Passionate about
service excellence and continuous improvement.
CSB’s
proactive mindset and constant communication with onsite project teams
has been crucial to maintaining the efficient ‘pull system’ of
equipment to site with reliable Just-In-Time
site deliveries.
CSB has added value in a number of ways, not least by checking quality
and quantity of goods prior to site delivery, saving project delays and
speeding up replacement procedures.
By applying a Lean Systems Thinking approach, CSB works to eliminate
customers’ waste costs and optimise productivity, while also improving
the health, safety and environmental standards both onsite and
throughout supply chains.
“CSB’s Construction Logistics Centre is
specifically designed to deal with the needs of specialist
contractors,” says Matt Barker. “Handling requirements such as
large modular M&E systems, scenic lifts and 60’ escalators is
typical work for our
professional handling team and the Centre’s 30
tonne gantry cranes.
But our real qualities go beyond the physical: the extreme care and
thought we apply to our work; the agility in response to urgent and
changeable situations; the can-do attitude. These are
what our
customers trust in.”
