About the Landor - a brief history...
The Landor Theatre started life in 1994 as the Cage Theatre, before rapidly becoming Upstairs At The Landor in 1995. Its focus was (and remains) primarily on producing or housing musical theatre productions in an intimate environment.
Following a major re-fit in 1998 the entire building was renamed The Landor Theatre.
To this day, under the Artistic Direction of Robert McWhir, the theatre has earned a solid reputation for it’s productions of both classic and new musical theatre, with productions of Sondheim’s Follies and Assassins as well as City of Angels and, most recently, I Love You Because garnering both national and international acclaim.
One of London's most adventurous and attractive little theatres: The Landor is situated above the Landor pub in Landor Road in south London, a stone's-throw from Clapham North tube station and various bus stops.
